Alexandra Vacheva
About Alexandra Vacheva:
By profession, Alexandra is an artist and graphic designer, and by calling – a person of art. She first encounters pole dancing at the age of 19. It is 2017, and until then she had no idea that it would become such an important part of her life. With her first steps in the studio and the many challenges she meets along the way, Alexandra discovers all the things that had been missing from her artistic life so far – discipline, strength, flexibility, and the pure joy of movement.
It turns out that the studio environment as a whole is a very fertile ground for development – not only physical, but personal as well. Alexandra begins to take interest in all aspects and branches of gymnastic-acrobatic sports. She starts training aerial acrobatics intensively, learning in various studios filled with professional athletes and beginners like herself, all so she can progress in her favorite sport and understand how all those flying people in the circus, competitions, and studios actually work.
Over time, through rigorous training, she transforms from someone for whom going outside to exercise seemed unthinkable, into someone who feels the studio like home. From the student who scared all the coaches with her abrupt movements and uncertain grip, she becomes the tall “house person” in the studio who occasionally helps reach the highest locker room shelves, and the one who can give the most sensible advice on how to make the best use of your strength and technique.
After seven years of blood, sweat, and tears, stretching, strength training, breaking mental and physical limits, and genuine fun, Alexandra is ready to help others reach that same level of passion and love for aerial acrobatics that keeps drawing her back to the studio and the sport. Alexandra is living proof that you don’t need to be a trained athlete, nor be born with the “right” body to practice the sport you love while enjoying yourself – all you need is raw determination.
