For Adriana, the love of aerial acrobatics comes in 2011 when living in Cardiff and studying Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. At the university she comes across a brochure about a 10-week aerial acrobatics course for absolute beginners in “No Fit State” circus. Besides the traditional traveling circus show, this place offers many activities for children and adults. Initially, Adi begins with static trapeze, rope and aerial silks, but subsequently conquered by the magic of acrobatics, she expands her horizons by trying more stuff – handstands, dance trapeze, aerial straps, cloud swing and others. Almost all her free time she spends in the circus, developing skills, and when returning to Bulgaria after graduation, she is missing her daily sports routine. That’s how she ended up in Pole Dance Bulgaria. Poles are the thing that most closely resembles her favorite acrobatic activities and the hall provides hoop and silks for training. So she fast became our Aerial acrobatics instructor and meanwhile continued her development in other sport disciplines offered by the studio. The silks, the hoop and the pole are an integral part of Adi’s everyday life, combining sport with art and giving her much more than just an hour at the gym or running in the park. They require enormous effort and consistency, but according to Adi, there is no greater satisfaction than seeing the progress in yourself. The main thing that keeps her passion for acrobatics is the immensity of the challenges she faces, from which there is always something more to learn.
